The Secret Watchers: Visions (Book 1)

I wanted to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to my family and special friends who agreed to look over my book and double-check me for spelling, typos, grammar, time-line mistakes and language use.  As my youngest says, “Mom, a middle schooler would NEVER say it that way.”  Here is what readers have told me so far…

SH – I was so lucky to be selected as a proof-reader and spent my day off (and into the wee hours of the next morning) totally engrossed. The action scenes are very exciting and the Owen and Lucie scenes are so sweet and touching. Owen Ryer is my hero! I CAN’T WAIT for more. Write faster!

AO – It IS fun…what I have read so far makes me giggle!!

CB – Pretty convinced that you’ll be the next J. K. Rowling. Just remember me when you’re walking down that red carpet!

TH – I just finished reading book 1 and I absolutely LOVED IT! What amazing depth to the characters, nail-biting action and teenaged angst! It was the perfect mix of action and emotion, and ended with a deft hand-off to the second book. This book is sure to be a best-seller!

AS – I’ve started reading it when (my baby) gives me a chance.  I can tell I’m going to like it.  I’m already into it 🙂

NB – I like it that Owen is a real guy who gets hurt and has to heal like in the Hunger Games.  I hate it when the good guys come across as invincible.

AW – I love it but I hate you!  How can you leave me hanging like that?  Where’s book two?

SP – Owen seems to know how and who to trust.  He realizes that he is different yet he embraces that and he pulls in his friends and brings out the best in them; changing all their lives.  I like that you learn about his friends, family and the town he loves.

SW – More, more, when can I have more?

SJ – I am so proud of you Lauren!! I can not wait to read your story.

  1. I keep telling her to write faster too but she seems to think she needs to WORK elsewhere sometimes too! Arrrgh!!! (And if you liked Book One, just wait’ll you get hold of Book Two!)

    • What a wonderful thing to say. Owen is my hero too. I hope that everyone loves him as much as we do. I have fun writing for him, thinking about how he must feel and imagining how hard it must be to be him sometimes. I know that he will do great and amazing things but in his heart, he will always be ‘just’ Owen, doing what he has to do. He is the guardian of the innocent.
