I was just asked a great question. Fortunately I had already done a little research into the Lexile of my books for a teacher friend. Thanks for your question Chris and I will run the Lexile checker on the rest of the series for you.
Visions, book one was intended for ages 12 and up. The average Lexile score from 3 – 1,000 word samples from the book was – 660.

Well friends, you heard it here first! I am rebranding myself as…
Lauren Lynne, young adult author.
Writing is an interesting business and I’m still learning. I hope to ALWAYS learn. I’ve been a little quiet lately because I have read so many articles that tell me the best advertising I can do is to write more books… SO that is what I’m doing. I have three books in the works. I want to get them out to you as fast as I can but I want what you get to be worth it! My goal is to release three books in 2014 but if they aren’t ready then we’ll roll forward into 2015.
When I first published Visions, book one of the Secret Watchers series, in September of 2012 all of my efforts in advertising were put into The Secret Watchers brand. Over the last seventeen months I have learned that it is the author that I need to market. (At least if I plan to write other books AND YES I do plan to write more!)
I am working on books four and five of The Secret Watchers series and I am creating a dystopian. Book four of The Secret Watchers is going through a round of edits right now.
Always learning… Always growing!
Big hugs, Secret Watchers fans!!!
